There will always be miracles when we are persistent to find one. It is not something that is laid in front of us. We have to patiently look for it until the day it reach our senses. For Lorenzo’s family, they saw this miracle when everything else is falling apart.

The story starts with a little boy named Lorenzo that has acquired a rare kind of disease that most of the greatest doctors had refused to cure him. For most families, this is when the hope fails the heart’s desires. But for Lorenzo’s family, this is just the beginning of their quest.

A pint of light opened when they saw a therapy where a certain kind oil will be used to cure their son’s condition. With the help of a British chemist, the treatment became successful and Lorenzo is slowly recovering. The end of the movie shows a Lorenzo with a definite improvement.

Although a few medical researches are still needed, the miracle that happened to Lorenzo is a like a rainbow for people who has experienced the storm. It only shows that even the most impossible thing can happen if we only believe that it will happen and that we do things to make it happen. Even a thousand failure is nothing if we know that what we’re chasing after is worthy of it.

The Bucket List

Enjoy life while it lasts. That’s the line that I always hear from people around me. I even find myself saying it, as an advice to someone or even to myself. I find it really fantastic to dream about something and, someday, making that dream come true.

Life, for me, is the most magical thing the Lord has given us. It’s the only way for us to give love and feel love.  The only thing that depends on us is how we live it. Many people die of not receiving the real meaning of life. Most of us don’t understand why we’re given this life because the only thing most of us know is to work hard for ourselves and for others. What  “The Bucket List” taught me is that life itself is simple. It’s only us who make things complicated.

What the movie taught me is that it’s never too late to dream even if it’s the silliest dream like tasting the most rare coffee in the world, at the last breaths of our life, and make those dreams come true. That it’s never too late to laugh heavily because you’re happy. 

Happiness, I guess, is the reason why we are blessed with the life we have, to find happiness and be contented about the idea of it. In the movie, it has been a long journey for Edward to find it, but with Carter’s help, he eventually did. Carter is the angel that has been sent to Edward to make him realize that there are many things out there in life other than girls, vices, money and anger. He has taught him that life is a lot different from what he perceived it is.

Life is the most precious thing that the Creator has given to you and even to a little girl like me. We should take care of it, live it with happiness and contentment and we’ll eventually find what our life is all about. I guess, for the two protagonists, life is something that can’t be obtained when He has taken it back, but when we live it without anger and with a humble, bubbly attitude, we will most certainly be grateful that He has given us that gift.
